This Privacy Policy explains how FranklinAlexander Ventures, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), owner of AlexListens.com, collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information. By using our website and services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Alex is designed to listen carefully. While we don’t provide therapy, our system may flag conversations that raise red flags (like mention of self-harm, extreme distress, etc.). When that happens:

Alex may offer kind prompts to encourage getting help.
In sponsored plans, we may notify the authorized sponsor (like your adult child) if concerning patterns emerge.

Important: We do not contact emergency services and we are not responsible for crisis response.

4. Sponsored and Caregiver Plans

If you are part of a sponsored plan, you consent to allow limited updates about your emotional well-being to be shared with the person who enrolled you. These updates will:

Be shared only when Alex identifies potentially troubling patterns.
Never include full transcripts unless authorized.
Be sent in good faith. Sponsors agree to hold us harmless from any ourtcome.

5. Data Retention

All conversations with Alex are recorded and stored.
We retain these records indefinitely unless required by law or if you request deletion (except in sponsored plans).

6. Data Sharing and Monetization

We do not sell your personal data, transcripts, or call logs—ever. Your individual conversations are private and never shared without explicit permission.

That said, we may use or share anonymized, aggregate-level data to:

Create behavioral insight reports or research summaries.
Collaborate with partners, researchers, or wellness organizations.
Develop or improve our products and services.

13. Legal Hold Harmless

You agree that FranklinAlexander Ventures, LLC is not liable for any emotional, psychological, or situational consequences arising from use of Alex. Use is at your own discretion. For sponsored plans, both parties agree to a legal release and hold harmless for any good-faith communication made to the sponsor.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the most recent changes. Continued use of Alex after updates means you accept the new policy.
